Carnation Cafe

The Carnation Cafe is an excellent sit-down restaurant situated right on Main Street. We had breakfast midmorning one day and lunch the next. Both were excellent meals at fair prices. And because we were celebrating our anniversary, they brought us complimentary ice cream for desert!

This place is nice, the seasonal spicy chicken is tasty. But if you love fried pickles this is the only place you can get them and they are perfect.

There's not many places you can get a Mickey Waffle in the park, and Carnation Cafe is one of them (the other location is Plaza Inn, which I think has inferior waffles. But I digress.)Be sure to make a reservation at the Carnation Cafe at least a week or two in advance. It's a must-visit just for the light, fluffy, and airy Mickey Waffle, and when I went with some friends last month, they also had a Special Mickey and Chicken Waffle. Portion sizes are large, and service is as good as you would expect from Disney (that is to say, it's very good, friendly, funny, knowledgeable, helpful, accommodating, and fun.)

I thought this was a great spot. If it's not too hot I recommend sitting outside for all the good people watching! Ha! You are right there on Main Street so lots of people walk by and we even watched a parade go by. Food is good. Sandwiches and salads mainly. They had a "make your own pbj sandwich" for the kiddos which was great. I would go back again for sure.

Love this place. Not a whole lot of Flavors, but the they do have are Satisfying!

Great restaurant. Best salads and the fried chicken was delicious. Very attentive. Our ice tea was never half empty. Valerie our waitress was kind and friendly. Great food and prices were fair.

The food was amazing, very filling and tasted better than any other in the park! Highly recommend trying to get Bridget as your server, she had a very lively personality and made the experience that much better!

We arrived with our reservation and were seated almost immediately. Service here was fantastic and quick. The portions relative to the price was good. The food itself was delicious. This is an excellent place for breakfast at the park.

We love coming here for breakfast because the portion is decent and there is little bit of everything for everyone. Make sure to make a reservation to avoid waiting. Only apple or orange juice is available...

Very nice atmosphere sitting outside. Nice to get my own Mickey waffle and be a big kid again. Made a reservation just in case.

I enjoyed my breakfast. The Yogurt is a great way to sneak in a few more fruits. The service could improve. Things were forgotten had to ask again. But maybe it was do to the amount of people there.

This was the best dining experience I've ever had at Disneyland. The food was pretty good. The menu had a decent variety of typical American comfort foods, and I think anyone could find something they would like. The atmosphere was very pleasant and offered sanctuary from the sensory overload that the rest of the park was.The best thing about our experience was our waitress, Stephanie! She was the best! Not only had a winning personality and attentive, but was very helpful with assisting with my wife's food allergies. Pro tip: I highly recommend getting a shake. They are huge, and bring the cup. Excellent value and amazing taste. Felt really good at the end of a hot day in the park. 10/10 highly recommend! Will be coming back.

This place has the iconic Mickey waffles and a great staff. Reservations are recommended, as these lines can get insanely long, given that it's in the park

Place for hunger after riding in Disneyland. I got a Mickey Mouse macaroon, and free cup of water.

Pretty good food.

We enjoyed our dinner very much. The fried pickle Spears (total of 5) came out to our table fresh from the fryer. They are delicious, but need to let them cool for a bit so you don't burn your mouth. There is enough for two to share. The county fried chicken was excellent as well. It comes with mashed potatoes and moved veggies. The servings are good size to fill you up without over doing it. The atmosphere was pleasant without being too loud. There was a little trash of straw wrappers here and there, but over all clean. The service was friendly and fast. We had a fun Disney dinner.

Best restaurant for allergy options, their menu is celiac friendly. My favorite is definitely the fried pickles. They are better here than anywhere else I have ever had pickles.

6/12/16 Honestly, the food isn't that good, they use cheap ingredients. If you are going to pay $16.00 for a cheeseburger it better taste good. :(

The food is always good!

On main Street in Disneyland so it's convenient.food is average and prices are same as most sit down restaurants in park. Baked potato soup was ok, rest of meals were nothing special.

Small portions, cold French fries, drink refills not offered until towards the end of our meal. Its pricey for what you are served I wish the sevice could have been better.

Used to be an awesome brunch place. Now they have an inconsistent time on when they stop serving breakfast food, so if you make a reservation at a time that was brunch one day... they could not be serving breakfast the next day. Also the French fries are not vegetarian because they use the same oil for their fried chicken. So as a vegetarian you can only get fruit as a side.

The food was amazing! Our server, Kenny, was awesome! He provided some of the best service that I’ve ever had at a restaurant! I have severe food allergies and Kenny was right on top of it. Dave was also super friendly and attentive towards our table. If you’re looking for Disney Magic, look no further than the Carnation Cafe!!

I have eaten at Carnation Cafe for decades, back to the time it was the Carnation Ice Cream Parlor. It has been a stay in my visits.Primarily, I eat there for breakfast although it is great for all meals. The Mickey Mouse waffle of course is terrific, but normally I order the eggs Benedict with fresh fruit.Sitting outside is the best, especially when the Disneyland Band plays while walking down Main Street.These days it takes a reservation or an early entry to the park for standby, to get into breakfast. But well worth it.Highly recommended.

I expect so much better from Disney when it comes to food. This place is over priced liked everything else, but the quality and taste are 100% lacking. The only item that was worth eating were the fried pickles. My vegan burger was mushy and the cheddar cheese on the kids cheeseburger was plastic looking. The fried chicken had no flavor and even the sourdough bread had a bad taste. Not worth the price or the wait.

I Was Disneyland the Carnation Cafe is a must. Breakfast is best but it's reservation only. The setting is very nice great for people watching and the staff are exceptional i am Recomended

In my opinion, Carnation Cafe is THE place for breakfast at Disneyland. I've been coming to Carnation for years now, and the experience has never been less than excellent. The food, the atmosphere, and the service is all top notch. For me, it's really the only way to start a great day off at Disneyland, and I highly recommend it.

This restaurant has a fun and lively ambiance. The Victorian theme throughout the venue is fun. Food is fresh and delicious. Solid beverage selection. Great place for the whole family. It has a constant din, so a couple loud kiddos won't be an issue.

This was a really good restaurant. The food if high cuality, the price is not the cheapest. This place is very worth it. I had the meat loaf, my little girl had the Mac and cheese kids meal, I tasted it, wow it was good!! My meat loaf was tasty. I would recommend this place. Will come back. I have been there twice now.

Five stars for Dave!! He wasn’t even our waiter but made sure we were okay with everything during our visit. He asked if we needed anything and refilled our coffee multiple times. Thank you Dave!

Pleasantly surprised by our meal. Burgers were far superior to quick-serve burgers offered in the park. Nice to sit and have someone bring your meal and beverages rather than the typical chaos of meals at Disneyland. Wait times are the only drawback. We had a significant wait even with a reservation.

Good breakfast! The food is better at most of the other sit-down restaurants inside the park but this place has a special history and atmosphere. Not many options without meat.

Got the Chicken Fried Chicken was amazing and sorry for posting the half eaten Walts Chili, was to good of a smell to hold off and take a pic. Service was outstanding and the ambiance is phenomenal. Magic on all corners and as well in the food. We will be back!

Best breakfast ever

Probably the most reasonably priced table service in the park. It’s no frills but very cute and classic, with good food. I recommend brunch. :)

Delicious breakfast in a charming atmosphere.Definitely need a reservation for this place.The waffles were your classic waffles but in the shape of Mickey. The frittatas though were much better than I was expecting. Coffee is bottomless here. The service was friendly and really attentive.

This restaurant adds to the experience at Disneyland. We had the fried pickles which were awesome. I also had the the sourdough bacon-cheese melt because I saw someone else get it and asked the wait staff what it was, no regrets it was delicious.

Awesome little cafe with delicious gluten free Chili (and bread!) The atmosphere was great, waitress was super nice, and it wasn’t too expensive. I’ll definitely be coming back

Walts chillie I'd amazing and chicken fried chicken is great. Little small portions on the chicken but very very good.

Terrible and rushed service, but good food and reasonably priced. Our starters came out after a couple of minutes, indicating the freshness. However, it still tasted good. My problem was that my main arrived halfway through the starter. When I commented to the server, he shrugged and walked off. This attitude prompted me to call the manager. Service aside, good tasting meals.

We always make our reservations and we are always satisfied. The service is great, view is great from patio and food is delicious. This is our breakfast spot every visit.

I would highly recommend a reservation for a table here. If your main goal is to get in before breakfast ends to order the Mickey Mouse waffles, then reserve beforehand. My group was seated outdoors and the atmosphere was lovely. Our waitress was quick at ordering our food, so we didn't have to wait long. I got a mocha with the Mickey waffles. The mocha was pretty good and it was cute with all of the whipped cream and chocolate. The waffles were adorable. I opted for the strawberry fruit choice and it looked really cute!

Loved the food and great customer service. One small problem I had was the 45min wait if you don't make a reservation. Reminder you need a credit card to make a reservation it will not be charged unless you cancel or don't show up. It's 10$ sub charge
